Kidneys and our Ming- The Seat of the Soul that roots our energy

In Chinese medicine, our "ming" which is the faith of the soul is stored in our kidneys. Kidneys are known to hold the mystery of our destiny. As per the spiritual perspective,kidneys are believed to store our emotional and spiritual toxins. Thus,the kidneys are known to known to hold a soul's destiny. Isn't this flabbergasting!! Our kidneys govern our instincts for safety,hence,our intuition gets seedings from our kidneys. Kidneys carry our past lives soul blueprints,which is the source point. Hence,they carry ancestral memory that bears the weight of suppressed fear and emotional debris of our soul and our ancestral lineage.

The kidney plays a vital role in our energy levels and stores an essence called "Jing". The right kidney holds the "yang"energy and the left kidney holds the primordial "yin" energy. Emotionally, the kidney stores fear,hence any imbalance in the kidneys shows up as chronic fear,anxiety,workaholism;resulting in an inability to rest. Also, when an individual has faced any form of shock or trauma in early life, the kidney energy gets weakened as it shakes a person's core life force.

Spiritually speaking,the kidneys offer one's wisdom and self understanding. They aid in harnessing our life force,guiding us when to act and when to rest. Being the"Seat of the Soul", kidneys govern our force of discernment. So what does that mean? The kidneys are the invisible chambers where a soul's intentions are weighted and the soul wounds are hidden. When our emotional body starts to resist emotional truth,our kidneys start to deteriorate as they are the sacred messengers alerting us when we are emotionally imbalanced and disconnected from our soul's path.

Discussing further about Chinese medicine,the kidneys represent our "roots",which make us who we are. They carry our soul essence which is the genetic code,our reproductive ability and our life force.

When the kidneys are in balance,the energy body leads with optimism and forging realistic long term life goals. The soul starts to follow the sense of life purpose. Contrarily, when the energy of the soul is out of balance, the spiritual body operates from feat and an uncertain future, the energy body holds anxiety,depression and lack of direction.

Related to the water element,kidneys teach us to flow with life and have faith in the natural timings of life. On an energy body level, our kidneys offer wisdom,instills faith and makes our soul embrace authenticity. On a physical body level,kidneys signal us when to take rest and when to take action. Additionally,our kidneys represent death and rebirth;life transitions as this is the focal point of maintaining our rest and relaxation centres of the body.

Furthermore, excessive sexual activity weakens the kidneys as they are the source of our reproductive system. In our modern society, glamorizing overworking, frenetic work schedules and lack of sleep deteriorate our kidneys to a toxic level of burnout!!!

Hence,being the largest energetic system organ in our body,our Zhi, known as the willpower in Chinese is the fundamental of our core energy. The understanding of who we are and what we should do in our life is what should be our life modality.
