How often,we colloquially use the statement,"This is the root cause of all the problems". A strong reference can be drawn here to the Root Chakra. The Root Chakra is the energy centre of the spirit body that governs one's sense of safety, stability and sense of belonging. It is the anchor to the physical world. Located at the base of the spine, near the tailbone is responsible for a body's strength, vitality and life force.
The Muladhara Chakra carries energetic memories and challenges of our ancestral lineage that creates a generational pattern as it stores all the memories of how a soul has died across lifetimes and in each lifetime our phobias and split second reactions are carried forwarded to the Earthly life.
Doesn't that sound a little eerie and spine chilling!! This rings a bell in my head where my grandmother used to say to us as kids that our generational lineage doesn't support family business, we are more of white collar job workers. Back in the day,we used to brush this off as delusional, but as we grew older and saw range of family businesses falling apart,it did make a lot of sense. The root chakra holds ancestral wounds as well as ancestral gifts. So the body parts below the base such as the knees, the ankles, thighs and toes mirror ancestral patterns by the root.
The development of the root chakra happens in early childhood i.e the first 7 years of birth life. Any trauma during these 7 years impact the energy centres in our adulthood. Some examples of an imbalanced root chakra would be; birth trauma, abandonment, deprivation of nurture, feeding difficulties. This results in age long indecisiveness and phobias in the human body. Contrarily, a well balanced root chakra leads to pragmatic decision making that emerges from an area of stability and secure mindset.
The base chakra is known to govern our fight and flight response that creates indecisiveness during life changing decisions. Fear responses get activated in the root chakra when there is a sense of danger. This can emerge from unstable family environments during childhood or emotionally unavailable caregivers.
93% of the souls reincarnated on Earth, subconsciously feel that the Earth is an unsafe place that creates a block of Gaia's energy at the root. A blocked Muladhara Chakra causes chronic fatigue in the human body. To release this fear, the individual should cord the root to Mother Gaia's ruby heart and rebuild one's life force by replenishing the root chakra energy.
