Soulmates and Twin flames in Separation:Impact of mercury retrograde

Mercury is the Winged God of ancient Rome. He rules the aspects of communication,travel,internet and all electronic goods. Each year, Mercury retrogrades in 3 different 3 week periods which means that across the year, Mercury goes into retrograde thrice a year for 3 weeks(21 days each). The effects of the retrograde are at it’s peak in the first 10 days of the cycle. What does retrograde mean? Retrograde means when a planet moves backward in the orbit. Additionally, when in retrograde, Mercury moves slower than the Earth around the sun.

The catchall phrase that we all used when something goes downhill or haywire in our lives, “Mercury must be in Retrograde”.It is linked to Murphy’s Law of Astrology;Everything can go wrong and will go wrong in this planetary movement. In this blog, I will be solely discussing on the impact of the mercury retrograde on twin flames. Having written several blogs on twin flames and soul connections intrigues my interest in how the impact of the planetary forces effect these beyond earthly realms connections.

It is proven that Mercury affects the soulmates and twin flame energy to a large extent. What happens during the retrograde is all the feelings and energies between the twin souls gets stirred up.The inner patterns,belief systems,shadow aspects of each of the twin flames get reflected heavily during this time.Mercury Retrograde,oftentimes provides the energy for twin flame unions, reunions, rekindling of communication.All Mercury’s moonwalk is doing is showing us matters from a different perspective to offer clarity — which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Think of it as gaining a deeper level of consciousness and a better understanding of ourselves,others and situations.

The retrograde impact on the twin flame counterparts is a high illuminating period on self, resolving the past misunderstandings,release negative karma and find clarity in striking balance in the connection by adopting to new methods of communication with clearer action plans.

I have coined this term as “retroshade” as this time period throws light on to the shadow aspects of our lives and gives us a window of opportunity to mend fences and make everything right. Quite aligning with the aspect of twin flame connections; working on the not so pretty aspects of our personalities,Mercury retrograde just amps the influxes of shadow work with a more deeper cleansing of fears,doubts,insecurities and the works.

Many twins meet without prior spiritual experience or wisdom and through the experience awaken. This certainly is not as harmonious as many authors describe it, at least not from my experience. All of us without exception have suffered immensely through this connection, and while it does bring out a more compassionate and caring human being guided by one’s heart and soul, the journey through it is for most excruciatingly painful. So be careful what you wish for! So many people think it’s all peachy and there is no better romantic relationship than that with our twin when that’s not necessarily the case.

As many still have to heal their internal wounds when they meet their twin, a lot of internal work is required and separations are very common as well. My twin ran from the love and connection 5 years ago and I haven’t heard from him since. It was the most painful experience of my life to lose him in the physical and it brought me to my knees,literally,but despite all the pain I would not want to miss having met him. It woke me up and shook me to my core like no other experience could have.

This spiritual path ultimately leads us back to ourselves and to self love. Only when we love ourselves unconditionally like we love our twins can we serve others and spread love and kindness on this planet, which is I think what we are ultimately meant to do with our lives.
