As one walks down the path of spirituality, the dating pool narrows largely as we start understanding how expensive our energy is. In a world where a vast majority of people who are stuck in a matrix, craving spiritual connections become rare and impenetrable. Spirituality has a deep relationship to chakras,as there is an elevation in the energy body from the base chakra higher up in the chakra system. As the chakras open up,also known as ascension, one starts to recognize and accept one's flaws. The biggest shift in our narrative occurs during this chakra cleanse stage, where we gain an emotional clarity of our own self and understanding our needs in a relationship which makes spiritually awakened people have a better connection with themselves and others. The ace requirement in a romantic partnership is emotional connection rather than physical or a materialistic connection.
When we start to date someone new,the initial emotions revolve around excitement and desire which happens to be a dominant energy of the sacral chakra and the root chakra;but as we ascend, the chakras become connected to our response in romance too. So what does this mean? If the root chakra is active, there would be heightened chemistry and sparks, but as the ascendency of the spiritual body begins and the energy starts flowing upward to the heart, throat and third eye chakra, the requirements of the connection shifts to love, warmth, communication and fulfillment with depth in relationships.
Most unawakened people have a "hardened up" energy body that fails to process sensory reality by the conscious mind. Spiritual people recognize and own up to their flaws by analysing experiences of the past and graduate themselves to improved levels of healing.Hence, more men tend to see the world through a receptive lens,as they operate through the lower chakras of existence, drive and accomplishment. Contrarily, women view the world through a filter of positivity and nurture, through the heart centre and higher level chakras that comprise of love, compassion and gentleness.
Due to different vantage points of each gender, men tend to take on a 'fight or flight' approach while dealing with difficult situations, especially emotional difficulties; and women 'tend and befriend' by providing support to others in relationship issues.
Now arises the question "How do we distinguish who is worth the effort?" The answer is authenticity and patience which comes in from forming a deeper connection through a shared sense of purpose.
#1 Conscious Connection- Open communication and being aware of each others' needs creates a safe environment for the connection which deepens overtime.
#2 Shared Practices- Engaging in shared spiritual practices such as meditation, yoga, a workout, travel as new experiences create an area of discovering each others personalities, preconceived notions, reactivity and proactivity levels.
#3 Unconditional Love- Spiritual love and connection comes without expectations and demands and operates on the premise of sense of unity and openness.
#4 Safe Space for Growth and Vulnerability- Having unfiltered discussions around relationship doubts, insecurities and fears occurs when there is a creation of a safe and non judgemental space for both partners that fosters an environment of trust, empathy and support.
Thus, discovering love,as an awakened soul might initially feel like an uphill battle but once the connection is created, it is beautifully evolving and enriching. The need for more love and service is the basis of partnership.
