We are constantly bombarded with price tags of material objects,be it in advertisements, customer surveys, influencer marketing that tickles our impulse to make purchases of products that create a status symbol in society. Diverting to the spirituality angle, a lot of researchers have stated that one's wealth is measured by the depth of our connection with The Divine.

Spiritual wealth is embodied by practicing spiritual principles that allow humans to grow and learn lifelong. In a nutshell, these principles are bifurcated into 3 broad categories; courage, resilience and grace. Courage is the strength that is non-physical and steps in at a time, when fear and timidity leave the table. The soul gets into a top gear mode when challenges occur, embodies a fighting spirit and progression is made with necessary action. I would draw an example here, is when I had faced a unwelcoming response at my home when I looked to change career paths early this year. Shocking myself,I took the leap of faith and created my line of work, away from the family bloodline.

The 2nd principle is Resilience. The moral compass of the soul is to keep moving forward in the direction of purpose. Traumatic events and tough situations in life push the soul into a perseverant mode to create resilience and achieve the soul purpose.

Grace being the 3rd principle is the art of letting go of people, places, things that have served their purpose in our life. Simply put, when the soul embodies it's own source of light. Another analogy to this term would be the divine influences that supports souls to overcome challenges and attain success.

After the brief discussion of these principles,a question pops up in my head. If money is important, why can't it buy life? Why cannot money purchase happiness,a good heart, genuineness? The answer to this would be true gratification occurs at a soul level, true wealth of the soul is finding solace and accomplishment in our day to day transactions. Hence, spiritual wealth is highly virtuous.

Drawing a personal example here would be,during my visit to Turkey, I opted for a home stay in an AirBnB where an old couple had an organic farm and every morning, served us fresh breakfast made from the ingredients from the farm. It was such an unadulterated experience built on purity of energy exchange.

When there is an imbalance of energy at a soul level, the body reflects it in the form of weight gain, addictions, anger and jealousy. This is indeed, poor soul undernourishment.

Contrarily, when there is a balance between financial wealth and spiritual wealth, the true magic occurs, fear begins to dissipate;the mind and soul consciously embrace material wealth.

Gratitude serves as the highest form of soul richness and wealth.
