The crown chakra is the direct link to the nervous system. Being the gateway to the universal consciousness, the crown chakra has a set of temporal lobes on the sides of the hemispheres located behind the ears and along the sides of the head.

Every cell in our body contains a state of consciousness and sub-consciousness. The cellular tissues of the nervous system vibrate via thought and feeling. If the cellular tissues have a high frequency, the stress levels reduce in the endocrine system. The frequencies varying between 432Hz to 528HZ creates lower cortisol, reduced tension and increased relaxation.

Now,depending on the state of one's nervous system, that switches from event to event occurrence impacts the state of mind largely. My next segment discusses that with some more depth.

#1 The Ventral Vagal State- This state occurs when one feels safe and connected to others, also known as the social engagement system.

#2 Sympathetic State- Known as the flight or fight state which occurs when our system perceives danger that leads to increased heart rate, anxiety and alertness.

#3 The Dorsal Vagal State- Colloquially, termed as the freeze response state which gets triggered by extreme stress or a perceived life threat resulting in feelings of disassociation and disconnection.

The human nervous system and the vagus nerve intersect at an energetic state of feeling, flow, the activation of the subconscious and human connection. The nervous system is constantly scanning for threats from our environment and our non-physical sense of self. The spiritual dimension of the vagus nerve is the centre of our stored trauma and also the area of healing the trauma as the vagus nerve records all the experiences of the misattunement of our childhood, further which creates a lack of co-regulation of our nervous system which, subconsciously get re-enacted in our adult lives.

Awakening experiences also add up to a certain amount of breakdown where the Sympathetic Nervous System(SNS) temporarily gets disabled. The SNS primarily is operated by the left hemisphere of the brain also known as "Seat of the Ego".

When the SNS gets disabled during a spiritual awakening, the Peripheral Nervous System(PNS) gets activated and shifts to become the dominant receptor. Now, the PNS is responsible for the "rest and digest" response. Thus, during a spiritual awakening there is a massive nervous system breakdown of the dominant hemisphere to the hyperactive SNS.

This leads to a sudden and unexpected sense of loss of self and all the pent up negative emotions come flooding leaving our psyches feeling light and airy as it one is floating in the air.

So,the question is, 'Is it easy for a human body to switch between operating nervous systems?" The answer lies in the very fact that, when a system feels shut down and there is a switch in the back up system, there is a time lag that takes place for settling of newness. That is exactly what happens during a spiritual awakening; the switch between the nervous systems causes a complete crash in the energy body and hence, a range of flooding emotions come to the surface while shifting our way of operating life.
