In Hindu tradition,Shakti is known to be as the active dimension of the Godhead which possesses divine power of the feminine being with her male consort. If you look into the picture with precision, we can see multiple arms holding weapons that represent power and destruction of evil, seated on a tiger showing subdued ego and adorning pink and red attire showing soft feminine and creative energy.
This is the state of being in the feminine energy which is activated during the process of creation, maintenance and destruction in the Universe. In Hindu tradition, women are considered as "The Vessels of Shakt" as biologically women create in the form of birthing human life and energetically, women embody forgiveness, compassion and tolerances to range of transgressions.
In all beings, the Shakti energy is present as it is the life force that makes us human FEEL. The Shakti Goddess is the force of feelings and flow. It is the energy of fire and power. The feelings aspect is the feminine life force that exists in both genders. Thus, using one's sensory perceptions such as sense of sight, sound, smell, touch and taste increases the interconnectedness of the Divine Feminine energy as a part of the Universe.
Each human senses, largely softens and relaxes the energy body. So how does this happen in the energy body? When the mind and soul are in relaxation, the sensory perceptions get activated, "The Feel Mode" is switched on. Thus, the energy flow starts to begin from the base of the spine(the root chakra) to the higher energetic points of the chakra system. This energy flow is the Shakti activation point in the physical body.
Also, studies have proven that women are faster manifestors and possess stronger intuition, this is due to the presence of Shakti Consciousness in our intelligence. Also, when the inner Shakti gets out of balance, our nervous system gets dysregulated that leads to sleep issues and anxiety. Furthermore, the inability to express emotions is a signal of imbalance in the Shakti energy field.
My next segment will be discussing about, how do we awaken the Shakti energy within ourselves?
We all possess a Kundalini energy at the base of our spine which is coiled like a serpent that travels up the central channel which is known as Sushumna Nadi,in Hinduism.
Being the crucial energy channel, the Sushumna Nadi consists of the Ida (left channel) and the Pingala(right channel) that gets into balance once the breath flow is equal from both the nostrils. Most of the times, when there is an imbalance in the Sushumna Nadi, the breath flow occurs only in one nostril, that is either the left or the right nostril, which indicates overactive masculine or feminine energy in the energy body.
Hence, the activation of the Sushumna Nadi awakens the Shakti power that creates an ascension right from the root chakra to the crown chakra for balance, liberation and higher consciousness.
A range of Yoga asanas that specifically concentrate on hip openings and root chakra poses along with Prayanam (breathwork),meditation, maintaining a straight posture to allow the energy to flow freely from the base chakra to the other chakras.
