Food is known to be indelibly connected to emotions within humans. We are known to use food as a proxy for feeling our emotions that we would like to experience for gaining an emotional connection to something. Our physical bodies have needs to experience certain positive emotions. As everything in the human body is intertwined, the absence of positive emotions is often substituted by food consumptions. Our conscious and subconscious mind understands that certain foods have the ability to comfort us by providing fuzzies inside.

Understanding how we develop certain cravings and what does this signal the human body? When the human palate starts to crave a certain group of foods, the craving is a red flag bearer of the deficiency of a certain emotion. For instance, if an individual craves sweets, the lacking emotion here is love;both self-love and romantic love.Another instance would be ,if the subconscious craves gluten products or baked goods, the energy craved by the body is the nurturing of your father or his energies in one's life. Subsequently,if we crave dairy products such as cheese, milk and others, the energy craved for is the maternal energy.

Let us unravel the aspect of overeating. Why do we tend to overeat, although the body is filled up with the satiety limit of the food consumption? That is because foods are a byproduct of emotions. When we overeat we need to understand what emotion is a miss from the body as foods are a byproduct of emotions. Emotional hunger comes from a place of feeling unfulfilled and hence,on consumption leaves one feeling uncomfortably full.Drawing an example here, when we have eaten our meal and suddenly see an advertisement of a burger, there is trigger in the sight, smell and sound which are the sensory organs of the human body. These sensory organs send a message to the nervous system and further,to the brain to dive into the craving. In hindsight, this is a clear deficiency of leptin and serotonin in the body.

Circling back to emotions and food cravings, people who crave cucumbers actually are looking for a fresh perspective in life. Taking note of our cravings can help us draw a pattern, these patterns carry a karmic value to one's soul, therefore, plant based food is said to have the least karmic value attached to it has the least number of microorganisms killed.
