Mount Kailash, geographically,is the centre axis of the Earth, hence Lord Shiva chose Kailash,so that he could take care of all his created beings. There is a yin and yang of two lakes set at its foot called the Mansarovar Lake and Rakshastal Lake. It is believed that one of the lakes is shaped like the Sun while the other resembles the Moon;furthermore, the Mansarovar is the freshwater lake and the Rakshastal is the saltwater lake. Many ancient texts claim that Mount Kailash stands as the balance between the two i.e Mansarovar(God Lake) and Rakshastal Lake(Devil Lake) to teach us that there isn’t any evil external to us; we are the evil. It's location is in synchronization with all other ancient monuments in the universe and earth poles. And it is located at an exact 6666 km from the monument of Stonehenge.
