According to a survey conducted by The Simplicity Institute, across 2500 people were surveyed across various countries that identified themselves living with fewer possessions and around 87% of the respondents were happier. So does spirituality make us more minimalistic? As one's ascension begins, does one feel detached to materialistic possessions? Let us understand this!! I would like to draw an example of turtles here; turtles are known to instinctively provide protection and resilience. Thus, people who are moving towards the path of minimalistic living understand the sacredness of energy protection. The more materialistic possessions, the more scattered one's energetic field.
My grandmom and mom have always been particular of living in a decluttered environment. Since a child,I have seen my grandmom give away old clothes, utensils, furniture, many other household items to the needy, which is a distinct trait inherited by my mother.
Spiritual minimalism opens up a space to channel one's time, energy and money into areas of maximum benefit and...PEACE!!! Oh yes!! When one starts making intentional choices to one's lifestyle, the gates of peace and harmony open up.
Drawing example of self, just last evening I was talking with a friend and amidst the conversation,
I told her,"I just want to help people in my life journey by providing emotional support." This aspect of my personality has always left me enriched and powerful.
My life took a transformation in mid 2020, where I happened to walk down the path of writing and energy healing. Having gone through the valley of doubt and deconstruction, I began to understand the very core of the Universe and realised that living with minimalism acquires highest level of one's Happiness Quotient.
Thus, now,I consciously consume less; media time, social interaction time, food and dietary choices,to preserve my energy levels.
Minimalist living,as a spiritual practice makes one reflect deeply on what really brings us well being, and have the courage to put that into action.
